What are your session times?

We are open Monday to Friday term time only from 9am-3pm. Sessions are mornings from 9am-12pm, afternoons from 12pm-3pm or full days. We also offer wrap around care from 8-9am and from 3-4pm.

How do I pay my fees?

Fees are due on the 7th of the month in advance, or if your child starts with us after the first, fees are due within a week of beginning. We accept payment via standing order, cheque or cash, and we also accept childcare vouchers.

Plantpots has two rooms for the children. How does this work?

Children move up to the preschool room in the September after they turn three, however on occasion we may have a small amount of space available in the Preschool room throughout the academic year, in the event of this your child may have the opportunity to move up the term after their third birthday.  So if your child's birthday is in November they may start in the preschool in the January term. Children in the playgroup are prepared for this move and there is lots of interaction between the two groups.

How can I find out about my child's learning and development?

There are several ways in which we communicate with you about your child's learning and development. Firstly, we operate an open door policy so if you have any questions, concerns or just want to know what your child has been up to then please just ask.

Secondly, we have a board outside our two rooms which explains on a weekly basis what the children will be doing, what they need to bring to playgroup and how you can support this learning at home.

Finally, each child has their own Learning Journey which can be accessed online. The Learning Journey includes observations about your child, photographs and their next steps.

We hold parents' meetings termly and regularly send out newsletters by email as well as updates on Facebook to keep you informed. You can 'like' us on Facebook via the Facebook link at the bottom of the page.

What should I do if my child is ill?

Please telephone or text us if your child is ill, or is going to be absent. If your child has a sickness or diarrhoea bug they must not return to playgroup until they have been well for 48 hours. If they have an infection, please leave 24 hours after a full day of medicine before returning to playgroup.
